Study.
Observe the Teacher's interests & priorities.
Study in the same mode as the test.
Use mnemonics to memorize lists. Do a brain dump at the beginning of the exam, look over the exam, then add to your brain dump.
Look over the whole exam first.
Plan a sequence and timing.
Do the Easy ones first.
There are usually hints for the hard ones in other questions.
When stumped -- close your eyes & visualize (The teacher telling you the answer).
When you really don't know--see the rules of thumb
Never erase an answer unless you can give a better one (qualification: better to be thought a fool than prove it).
Never leave an empty space--if you have a better option.
"Extra Credit" is still credit.
Don't write "??" next to your answer -- this undermines confidence and prejudices the grader.
Show Calculations!
Neatness counts!
Correct grammar and spelling conveys an impression that you know what you are talking about and may influence the grader.
Don't put blind faith in your calculator-Do rough estimate "sanity checks."
