• The same Information is being entered into more than one system
• People are Faxing documents to work on them together
• Fax's are followed by mailing originals or transporting disks
• Numerous copies are made so that the various people involved in the transactions can do their jobs

Conducting business requires excessive communication:

• Too many meetings
• Too many phone calls
• Too many reports and memos
• Too much "checking up" and "following up"
• Too much paper.
